The focus of the IA Centre's activity is to raise awareness of intellectual assets within organisations of all sizes and sectors across Scotland. The Centre delivers regular workshops and seminars, and provides information on a host of IA issues. In addition, we offer tailored support to individual organisations, signposting them to relevant private and public sector support as appropriate.
The primary focus of our work is on Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs ), typically with less than 250 employees. However, we work with organisations of all sizes from the private, voluntary and public sectors.
If you'd like to find out more about IA management, please sign up to receive notification of awareness raising events in your region. These sessions include a mixture of presentations with case studies, and interactive exercises/games to get you thinking about IA and its management.
In addition, we have a library of tools which is continually growing. The toolbox comprises of those which can be used in groups, and those which are aimed at individual companies and currently includes the IA questionnaire which can help you to visualise your organisation's IA. We develop tools in line with demand, so if you can't find what you are looking for, please send us your suggestions.
If you have a question about a particular aspect of intellectual assets within your organisation, e.g. if you'd like to consider the options for safeguarding a new product or design; need to package your IA to present to an Investor or potential licensee or are thinking of developing an IA strategy, please contact us directly. One of our Advisers will contact you to discuss your requirements.
