Working with the IA Centre in the Highlands and Islands
With the support of Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the IA Centre continues to develop its activities across the Highlands and Islands working with businesses and organisations to deliver all of the IA Centre’s offerings.
Mhairi Wardner is the Projects in Partnership Manager for the IA Centre based in Lochaber and covering the Highlands and Islands. In addition to all of the facilities of the IA Centre web pages, Mhairi is able to offer face-to-face meetings and advice over the phone on all aspects of IA Management and can provide access to specialist advice where necessary. Mhairi can also run workshops, masterclasses and seminars on general IA Management or specific topics depending on the needs of interested organisations.
Programmes for Organisations in the Highlands and Islands
Since the IA Centre extended its activities to businesses and organisations in the Highlands and Islands we have successfully run a 6 month Company Development Programme, specifically designed for companies in the Highlands and Islands. This exciting programme was designed to assist companies in the management of all types of intangibles - assets which may constitute 80% of the value of your organisation! These include customer relationships, contracts with suppliers, branding and business processes, as well as many other intangibles, including trade marks, copyright designs and patents (i.e. intellectual property), which are vital to your efficiency and future organisation development. Case Studies about the companies who participated in this programme are available at the bottom of the page.
We are presently running a 14 month programme, valuing intellectual assets in software companies in the Highlands and Islands: known as Project VIA. This project is being delivered through focussed 1:1 consultation with client companies identifying key IA actions for their business development, as well as a series of one-day workshops and masterclasses on topics such as “Project Management for Product Development” and “Copyright and Licensing of Software” - all being delivered by industry experts. Further information about this project will be available soon.
We are always interested in running other programmes so watch this page for details of future programmes on offer.
