About Us helping you unlock the value of your Intellectual Assets
The IA Centre is a first, in Scotland and indeed in Europe - a unique centre to assist businesses in deriving value from their IA. Supported by the Scottish Government, the Centre was developed in response to the demand from businesses to learn more about their IA. Initial studies showed that, despite the number of businesses asking for advice, there were still many more that were not aware. Moreover, the value of unexploited IA lying in Scottish companies were judged to be several billion pounds!.

The Board Of Directors
The Board of Directors is made up of 10 members chaired by James Houston and forms the heart of the decision making process for the centre strategy, finance and monitoring of activities.

Although the IA Centre has not been in existence for long, there has been a "history" to the IA support services in Scotland and the Centre has built on this market intelligence, earlier studies and demand.
